Swan Abbey Press
Swan Abbey Press is an independent micro press founded in 2025 and based in Sister Bay, Wisconsin, with a simple mission: to discover, champion, and publish exceptional mid- and late-career literary voices. In its first year, Swan Abbey Press earned national recognition when its debut title, The Kindness of Terrible People: and Other Stories by Stephanie DuPal, receiving the 2026 Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) Silver Award for Best First Book:
Fiction. The collection was selected for this honor from nearly 2,000 entries submitted by independent publishers across North America. Dedicated to beautifully crafted books and enduring storytelling, Swan Abbey Press provides
accomplished writers with a home for work of exceptional artistic merit. We believe outstanding stories deserve to be discovered regardless of an author's stage of career.
Building on that commitment, Swan Abbey Press will host its second annual international writing retreat in Wroxton, England, May 30–June 6, 2027, bringing writers of all experience levels together for a week of inspiration, craft, and creative fellowship in one of England's most
picturesque settings. Learn more about Swan Abbey Press at www.swanabbeypress.org and reserve your place at the
