The Writer's Walk – Visit our Campus and Hiking Trails
The 1.5 mile Writer's Walk starts behind the Writing Center at 4210 Juddville Road and takes about an hour to walk and write. There are three connected hiking loops: The Writing Center Loop; the Witalison Woods Loop; and, south of Juddvile Road, The Norbert Blei Loop. The centerpiece of the Writer's Walk is the Olson Family Memorial Council Ring, just west of the writing center, that connects the trails north and south of Juddville Road. No reservations necessary. The Writing Center building is open to the public Wednesday - Monday 10 am - 3 pm. Restroom facilities for hikers only available during open hours.
Along the path, hikers will see carved cedar benches, all of them gifts from generous members of the Write On family. The carved cedar benches were created by Norman Wiedemeier. The etched brass nature plaques were created by Mary Ellen Sisulak; swing the plaque aside to see the special meditation word designated by that bench's donor.
As you go, discover what makes each bench special.

"Wild Words To Love" Here are some words that might sound a little bit strange. Some words are old, and some are brand new. Have fun thinking about or using these words as you hike and write.
