Meet members of the Door County Published Authors Collective and talking with them about their paths to publication. Books will be available for sale and authors are happy to sign copies.

Future Meet and Greets are scheduled for Saturday, August 6, and Saturday, November 5.

Participating authors at today’s Meet and Greet are:

Judy DuCharme, author of nine books including, most recently,  Addy of the Door Islands.

Ann Heyse  is the author of the children’s picture books  Good Morning, Door County  and  Good Night, Door County. She has also published a collection of poetry,  Drink in Sweet Rain.

Marggie Moertl  is the author of  Sally–A Memoir  and  Life As a Prayer , about her spiritual transformation during her many years as a hospice nurse.

Dan Powers  is the author of the novel  How Long a Shadow , which interweaves Chicago history through two generations struggling with the shadowy influences of their father and grandfather.

Judy Ann Ritter   is the author of  Following My Path: Striving for Justice and Social Change , about her sister-in-law’s life before and after her ALS diagnosis.

Charles Schudson  writes books about judges and the law, including  Independence Corrupted: How American Judges Make Their Decisions  and  On Trial: America’s Courts and Their Treatment of Sexually Abused Children.

Jan Wrede  whose book  Outspoken: The Olly Neal Story , a personal account of the struggle for black freedom and equality in eastern Arkansas as told to her by the powerful civil rights leader Olly Neal.
