Every life is full of stories. What if you could tell one in just 32 pages? Join children's book author Karlyn Coleman for a fun, hands-on workshop exploring the magic of picture books. Using her books Where Are All the Minnesotans? and The Great Get-Together, we'll discover how to find the heart of a story, develop a voice, and play with the idea of saying less. We'll explore how words and illustrations work together, the magic of a page turn, and what makes a story a joy to be read aloud.

Bring a memory, an idea, or just your imagination. With your own 32-page picture book layout, you'll begin creating a story through words and sketches--one you can keep working on and share with someone you love. No writing or drawing experience necessary. Just come ready to imagine, create, and see where your story takes you!

Class meets in person Saturday, April 24, 10 - 11:30 am.
