So anyway... is a free community storytelling series that celebrates the stories life has always been built on: stories told around the dinner table, over fish boils, on front porches, at family gatherings, and across coffee shop tables. Stories that make us laugh, make us think, and remind us that we're more alike than we realize. Whether your story is hilarious, heartfelt, unexpected, or life-changing, if it happened to you, it's worth telling. Offered quarterly at venues throughout the county, every event features a brand-new lineup of storytellers, making each evening a unique experience. Because each event is carefully curated, it may take a while before you're scheduled, if selected. Once chosen, you will receive an email with a proposed performance date and more details. Before each performance, there is a mandatory, relaxed workshop rehearsal. This is an opportunity to practice your story, receive supportive feedback, and get to know your fellow storytellers. We ask storytellers not to read from notes or a manuscript. Authenticity matters more than perfection, and we'll help you prepare. There are no themes or topics, but each story must begin, "So anyway..." Stories should be 7 to 10 minutes long and told from the heart.
