AFTERSCHOOL SPECIAL FOR AGES 9 - 12

Explore writing odes through sensory activities! Discover some of the master poets like Pablo Neruda and Naomi Shihab Nye and share your own poems. Decorate a special writing journal to keep your poems in -- make it spooky or joyous!

Class meets in person Tuesday, October 24, 4 - 5:30 pm.

Class size:  Minimum 5. Maximum 15.

Teaching Artist: Elise Gregory received her MFA in Poetry from Eastern Washington University. She is the author of The Clayfields, a novel-in-stories published by UW-Stevens Point’s Cornerstone Press. All We Can Hold, which she co-edited and co-compiled was published by Sage Hill Press. Her second poetry chapbook was published bay Dancing Girl Press. One can find her prose and poetry in various national journals. She’s read and lectured at various Midwestern colleges and libraries. Over the years, Elise has taught English, directed high school and community theater, and was a youth librarian. She recently moved to the Baraboo area with her family and works as librarian at the Baraboo Public Library. For more information check out her website: elisegregory.com
