Best-selling author Ann Heyse offers advice from her own experience of self-publishing her successful children's books. She'll discuss the many steps of the process including writing and editing, working with an illustrator, preparing a book for print, and getting the book onto store shelves. The session is designed for anyone curious about what's involved in the process as well as those who have already begun a book and are considering the self-publishing option.

Class meets in-person, Saturday, August 9, 9 - 10:30 am

Teaching Artist:  Ann Heyse is the author of the popular picture books  Good Morning, Door County  and  Good Night, Door County. She is also the author of  The Light is Ours,  a novel of historical fiction set in a Door County lighthouse in 1871-72.  The book won a Wisconsin Writer's award in 2023. A retired teacher, she continues to encourage writers through workshops, classes, and writing groups.
