Youth Classes & Workshops

In this workshop, we will look at different approaches to creating a memorable piece of writing. Using the woods and the land around Write On, Door County as a background and theme, we will discuss the many different ways to build a narrative—realistic, descriptive, magical, fantastical, prose or poetry. Your imagination will take you in all kinds of different directions as you write, create, and explore.

Class meets Monday - Friday, July 8 - 12, 1 - 4 pm.

Class size: Minimum 5, maximum 12.

Teaching Artist: Fiona McCrae was the publisher of Graywolf Press from 1994 - 2022. She has served as Vice Chair of the National Book Foundation, as an advisor to  Orion Magazine , and on the boards of several literary arts organizations.
