Join us for coffee and conversation with poet and essayist Catherine Jagoe. Catherine will read from and discuss her ecopoetry and essays that touch on environmental issues. The conversation will include "solastalgia," a new term for grief for a place that no longer exists due to environmental damage.
Catherine Jagoe is a translator, poet, and essayist. Her most recent books are Bloodroot (Settlement House, 2016), which won three poetry awards, and two bilingual volumes by Uruguayan poets: Reborn in Ink by Laura Cesarco Eglin (Word Works, 2019) and Voice & Shadow: New & Selected Poems by Luis Barvo (Lavendar Ink Press, 2020). She is the author of numerous essays, some of which have won the Pushcart Prize and a citation in Best American Essays.
